In some cases the /links/ address can be crawled and found for it's final destination.
Example:

Should point to:
https://hamlineathletics.com/news/2019/9/21/womens-soccer-olson-scores-for-w-soccer-in-ot-loss-at-st-benedict.aspx?path=wsoc
